Sin embargo, se ha detectado un calentamiento y una disminuci\u00f3n de las precipitaciones en la regi\u00f3n durante los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os. Esto ha ocasionado diversos impactos negativos en ambos sectores, haci\u00e9ndolos vulnerables al cambio clim\u00e1tico. Siendo que se espera que estas tendencias contin\u00faen a futuro, la cuantificaci\u00f3n de los cambios clim\u00e1ticos futuros es necesaria y relevante para la implementaci\u00f3n de medidas de adaptaci\u00f3n frente al cambio clim\u00e1tico. Esta informaci\u00f3n de proyecciones clim\u00e1ticas se puede obtener a partir de Modelos Clim\u00e1ticos Regionales (MCR). Por lo tanto, el objetivo de este estudio es la cuantificaci\u00f3n de los cambios clim\u00e1ticos futuros sobre una porci\u00f3n de la Cordillera de los Andes, localizada entre 21\u00b0S y 47\u00b0S en Sudam\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para alcanzar el objetivo, primero comparamos datos hist\u00f3ricos de simulaciones de temperatura y precipitaci\u00f3n de 25 MCR mediante diversas m\u00e9tricas estad\u00edsticas frente a datos de CRU TS 4.07 sobre 3 regiones. Las regiones fueron definidas de acuerdo a sus caracter\u00edsticas geogr\u00e1ficas y clim\u00e1ticas. Luego, se seleccionaron los MCR que mejor representaron la climatolog\u00eda regional. A partir del ensamble multi-modelo con los modelos seleccionados, se cuantificaron los cambios futuros de la temperatura y la precipitaci\u00f3n, de acuerdo al per\u00edodo base de 1981-2010, bajo los escenarios RCP4.5 (5 modelos) y RCP8.5 (7 modelos). Adem\u00e1s, se calcul\u00f3 el diagrama de Budyko, para evaluar los cambios futuros en el balance entre la disponibilidad de agua y de energ\u00eda, y una aproximaci\u00f3n climatol\u00f3gica del escurrimiento medio, para proporcionar una medida integradora de los cambios futuros en la disponibilidad de agua superficial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los principales resultados fueron:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Se proyecta una disminuci\u00f3n de la precipitaci\u00f3n, entre 5% y 30%, dependiendo del escenario y horizonte temporal seleccionados.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Se proyecta un aumento de la temperatura bajo todos los escenarios y horizontes temporales. Siendo la mayor magnitud de calentamiento observada, de hasta 5\u00b0C, bajo un escenario RCP8.5 durante el per\u00edodo 2081-2100, particularmente en la porci\u00f3n norte del \u00e1rea de estudio.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Se observa una clara se\u00f1al indicativa de un calentamiento dependiente de la altitud, espec\u00edficamente en la porci\u00f3n central del \u00e1rea de estudio, con calentamientos de hasta 0.6\u00b0C\/km.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>El \u00e1rea de estudio muestra un desplazamiento hacia condiciones m\u00e1s secas, acompa\u00f1ado por una reducci\u00f3n en la disponibilidad de agua.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>En conclusi\u00f3n, se proyecta para el futuro una combinaci\u00f3n de condiciones m\u00e1s secas y c\u00e1lidas en los Andes subtropicales del suroeste de Am\u00e9rica del Sur.
