En estas regiones, los impactos del cambio clim\u00e1tico se han intensificado en las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas, desencadenando cambios bi\u00f3ticos y abi\u00f3ticos sustanciales, con consecuencias ecol\u00f3gicas significativas a largo plazo. Si bien numerosos estudios se\u00f1alan que los efectos del cambio clim\u00e1tico afectar\u00e1n de manera significativa a los ecosistemas andinos, la magnitud de estos impactos a\u00fan no se comprende completamente. Por esta raz\u00f3n, el objetivo de nuestro estudio fue analizar c\u00f3mo los cambios futuros en la temperatura y la precipitaci\u00f3n, asociados a distintos escenarios de condiciones clim\u00e1ticas (Trayectorias de Concentraci\u00f3n Representativas, RCP 4.5 y 8.5), podr\u00edan alterar la estructura y el funcionamiento de los ecosistemas en un valle altoandino del Per\u00fa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para ello, utilizamos el modelo de procesos ecosist\u00e9micos L-Range para simular la din\u00e1mica de la vegetaci\u00f3n y los procesos biogeoqu\u00edmicos bajo condiciones clim\u00e1ticas futuras en el valle de Arhuaychanca, en el Parque Nacional Huascar\u00e1n, \u00c1ncash. Se parametriz\u00f3 un total de 54 variables clim\u00e1ticas, ed\u00e1ficas y de vegetaci\u00f3n. Asimismo, se emple\u00f3 informaci\u00f3n de precipitaci\u00f3n y temperatura proveniente de tres modelos clim\u00e1ticos para estimar cambios potenciales en la producci\u00f3n primaria a\u00e9rea, la cobertura vegetal y la cobertura de suelo desnudo en pastizales, arbustales, humedales (bofedales) y bosques altoandinos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las simulaciones revelaron que los impactos del cambio clim\u00e1tico variar\u00edan seg\u00fan la clase de cobertura vegetal, el escenario clim\u00e1tico (RCP 4.5 y 8.5) y la localizaci\u00f3n espacial de estos ecosistemas dentro del valle. Los resultados indican que, bajo el escenario RCP 4.5, se proyecta que todas las clases de cobertura, con excepci\u00f3n de los humedales, se vuelvan m\u00e1s productivas. Sin embargo, esto no ocurrir\u00e1 bajo el escenario de condiciones clim\u00e1ticas m\u00e1s extremas (RCP 8.5), en el cual todas las clases de cobertura, excepto los bosques altoandinos, presentar\u00edan una menor producci\u00f3n primaria \u00e1rea neta. En el caso de los humedales, a partir de 2040, las praderas h\u00famedas dominadas por gram\u00edneas y las turberas presentar\u00edan una marcada disminuci\u00f3n de la producci\u00f3n primaria a\u00e9rea, de aproximadamente 50 % en comparaci\u00f3n con 2020. Asimismo, se proyecta que, para todos los tipos de vegetaci\u00f3n, los cambios en la cobertura de plantas herb\u00e1ceas (hierbas, gram\u00edneas y graminoides) y en la cobertura de arbustos sean m\u00ednimos. En contraste, se espera que la cobertura de suelo desnudo aumente con el tiempo en todas las clases de vegetaci\u00f3n; sin embargo, este incremento ser\u00eda mayor en los humedales. Finalmente, la distribuci\u00f3n espacial de la cobertura de suelo desnudo variar\u00eda ampliamente a lo largo del valle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De esta manera, nuestro estudio proporciona informaci\u00f3n que puede utilizarse como base para el desarrollo de estrategias de conservaci\u00f3n y restauraci\u00f3n, como la identificaci\u00f3n de \u00e1reas prioritarias para la revegetaci\u00f3n y el establecimiento de zonas de exclusi\u00f3n del ganado. M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la implementaci\u00f3n de estas estrategias, resulta igualmente fundamental desarrollar medidas de adaptaci\u00f3n que permitan a la poblaci\u00f3n local ajustarse a estos cambios ecol\u00f3gicos, salvaguardar sus medios de vida y promover una gesti\u00f3n sostenible del territorio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"843\" height=\"681\" src=\"https:\/\/www.andex-rhp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/area-de-estudio-Arhuaycancha.png\" alt=\"Figura 1.
