Sin embargo, todav\u00eda se sabe poco sobre las condiciones clim\u00e1ticas en estas zonas tan altas, limitando la comprensi\u00f3n de los procesos f\u00edsicos que afectan la din\u00e1mica de estos glaciares. Para ayudar a cerrar esa brecha, el art\u00edculo presenta un conjunto de datos meteorol\u00f3gicos obtenido de estaciones autom\u00e1ticas instaladas en cuatro glaciares representativos de tres cordilleras peruanas: Huaytapallana (en la zona periglaciar), Vilcanota (en los glaciares Quisoquipina y Quelccaya) y Ampato (en el glaciar Coropuna), a altitudes entre 4\u202f700 y 5\u202f800 metros sobre el nivel del mar.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><p style=\"margin-right: 0cm; margin-left: 0cm; font-size: medium; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif; caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); color: rgb(0, 0, 0); white-space: normal; text-align: justify; line-height: 18.4px;\"><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"666\" src=\"https:\/\/www.andex-rhp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Imagen-2-1024x666.png\" alt=\"Figura 1. Se muestran las respectivas elevaciones en metros de las estaciones y los picos de cordillera.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Estas estaciones, operadas por el Servicio Nacional de Meteorolog\u00eda e Hidrolog\u00eda del Per\u00fa (SENAMHI) con apoyo de diversas instituciones nacionales e internacionales, registran desde hace m\u00e1s de una d\u00e9cada variables meteorol\u00f3gicas claves como temperatura del aire, humedad relativa, velocidad y direcci\u00f3n del viento, presi\u00f3n atmosf\u00e9rica, precipitaci\u00f3n y radiaci\u00f3n solar. Algunas de ellas est\u00e1n ubicadas en zonas de ablaci\u00f3n y otras en zonas de acumulaci\u00f3n, lo que permite una evaluaci\u00f3n comparativa de los procesos glaciol\u00f3gicos que ocurren a distintas altitudes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los datos procesados en escalas horarias, diarias, mensuales y anuales, son una fuente valiosa para m\u00faltiples aplicaciones cient\u00edficas. Estos incluyen la validaci\u00f3n de productos satelitales, modelos clim\u00e1ticos y glaciol\u00f3gicos, an\u00e1lisis del balance energ\u00e9tico y de masa en glaciares, y la evaluaci\u00f3n del impacto del cambio clim\u00e1tico sobre los recursos h\u00eddricos de alta monta\u00f1a.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta red de estaciones representa un esfuerzo pionero en el monitoreo sistem\u00e1tico de la cri\u00f3sfera tropical, ofreciendo datos esenciales para investigaciones clim\u00e1ticas y glaciol\u00f3gicas en una regi\u00f3n particularmente vulnerable.
