Sin embargo, tambi\u00e9n empieza a circular m\u00e1s agua l\u00edquida en las cabeceras de sus lechos, lo que aumenta la conectividad del sedimento previamente aislado y genera un aumento transitorio de la exportaci\u00f3n sedimentaria glaciar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Estimar la trayectoria de este aumento es importante desde un punto de vista ecol\u00f3gico y social, pero supone un desaf\u00edo cient\u00edfico debido a la respuesta retardada y no lineal de la exportaci\u00f3n sedimentaria glaciar al forzamiento clim\u00e1tico. En este estudio se analizaron las variaciones temporales de la concentraci\u00f3n de sedimento en suspensi\u00f3n en 11 r\u00edos andinos en latitudes subtropicales desde la d\u00e9cada de 1960 en adelante, para inferir en qu\u00e9 estado se encuentra este aumento transitorio en la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">En la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada se registraron concentraciones de sedimento an\u00f3malamente altas en la mayor\u00eda de las cuencas glaciarizadas, sin embargo, en la d\u00e9cada de 1970 se registraron valores a\u00fan mayores. Las variaciones decadales en la relaci\u00f3n entre la concentraci\u00f3n de sedimento y el derretimiento del hielo sugieren que la magnitud de la d\u00e9cada actual fue menor debido a la reducci\u00f3n del sedimento sub y pro glaciar, en lugar de una reducci\u00f3n en la conectividad hidr\u00e1ulica o en la capacidad de transporte. <br><br>Combinando este resultado con el hecho de que el caudal glaciar est\u00e1 disminuyendo, se infiri\u00f3 que, para la mayor\u00eda de las cuencas glaciarizadas, ya se super\u00f3 el m\u00e1ximo del aumento transitorio de la exportaci\u00f3n sedimentaria glaciar generado por el incremento antropog\u00e9nico de la temperatura iniciado dos siglos atr\u00e1s.
